Final Project, steve setera, The essence of Master Hua

Ven Master Hua lived a life beyond description. He was born into a poor farmer's large family in the arid plains of Jilin in Manchuria. It is my intention to depict for the students at CTTB (and possibly elsewhere) in this ongoing project his life from youth and what he achieved. He became a world traveler with little education. During his life he established Dharma Realm Buddhist Association he established monasteries in Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, The USA, Canada and Hong Kong. After meditating for three years at his mother's gravesite in a shelter open to the elements of frigid cold in the winter to extreme heat in the summer he ventured and studied under many masters. His first trip outside of China was to Hong Kong then in 1962 he traveled to the US eventually establshing the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in 1976 where he lead the formation of the schools - Instilling Goodness - Developing Virtue. There are two separate schools for boys and girls. Master Hua stated that education is the nations best defense.
